Pale Yellow Butterfly

These pale yellow butterflies are very common in the southern part of the US where I live and I have seen them around my whole life. I was planning on mowing the red flowers over one day and the little butterfly made me change my mind. At least for a while.

Note of interest:

Thank you Barbara for taking the time to send in this lovely picture. And I thank the yellow butterfly who decided to land on these beautiful red flowers.

Isn't it funny how we look at some flowers as weeds or beyond their time and along comes a butterfly or even a child to remind us that someone may still enjoy the view. I love butterflies dancing around from flower to flower.

We too have these pale yellow butterflies hopping from flower to flower here in Illinois. As a matter of fact I saw a couple yesterday as we walked in a field of wildflowers. But I wasn't able to get a picture as you did.

Again thank you Barbara for sending us this photo,

Sally
