Moon Moth or Luna Moth

Moon Moth or Luna Moth

When I went out for my walk this morning I came across this moon moth and I thought of you. I haven't seen one around here in quite a while. The Luna moth is native to North America.

These moths produce two generations a year depending on the climate. In northern climates like Canada they produce only once a year and appear around June or July.

In southern reagions they will produce two a year and the first one will be around April or May.

They can be found as far south as Mexico. And their life cycle is only 7 days.

Hope you enjoy!
