Hummingbird Pictures

We stumbled upon a nest of hummingbirds on our walk today. Luckily I had my camera phone and was able to capture mama bird and nest.

While walking the family dogs with my youngest daughter, Morgan, we came upon a nest of hummingbirds. I really enjoyed myself while taking multiple pictures.



Compare the size of those pine cones and you can see how small the nest and birds are.

We took so many pictures that Mama bird started getting a little nervous and began flying around to shoo us off. At first she watched to be sure her babies were safe.

But then all that clicking was just too much for her. After a couple hit and miss trials, mama was getting pretty nervous.

I said to her, "I just want to get one good shot, I promise." And as if by magic, she seemed to hold in mid flight just so I could get this shot.

I was surprised at the clarity of these pictures.
