Free Pictures of Flowers For Downloading And Sharing
I created this second page of free pictures of flowers to make it easier to
open the page. I have limited the number of images on each page to nine.
Do you have a story or photograph you would like to share? Many readers write in asking the names of flowers they find. Some just like sharing their story like Myrna from South Africa who shares her Butterfly Messages
You may also have a special garden story like Faye from Indiana who shares her Hostas and Sun secrets.
Purple Illium: Did you know that the purple Illium
is a member of the onion family? I discovered this when I took this
picture at the Morton Arboretum last year. These beautiful flowers
stand about 3 feet tall.
Pink Flower: This bright pink flower was taken along
the River Walk in Naperville, IL. It took me a lot of practice to
get the colors right when I started taking pictures of flowers. Many
times I would end up with red blobs instead of the detailed flower I was
taking a picture of.
Pink and White Flowers: These pretty delicate pink
and white flowers line the sidewalks of downtown Naperville. You can
always count on a different flower to take pictures of as the seasons
progress and change. These flowers were blooming all summer long.
Fire Blossom: I named this picture fire blossom
because the flower looks like a flame. This bright flower is another
from the gardens at Riverwalk.
Pink Trumpets: This trumpet shaped flower picture is
another contribution from Naperville.
Pink Yarrow: This flower picture was
taken of a local neighbor's garden. Did you know that the yarrow is
considered a medicinal herb? The stems from these flowers are also
used the make sticks to use in I-Ching. I read that if cultivated,
they will grow as tall as 5 feet.
Purple Flower: This purple flower was found growing
in my neighbor's yard. They are dainty little clusters of flowers
that look similar to carnations.
Sweet William: Any time I see the sweet william
plant I am reminded of my grandmother's flower garden. She always
had Sweet William growing there. There is just something about that
name, don't you think? This picture was taken in a neighbor's
garden.
Bush of Flowers: Every year I can count on this bush
blooming from spring to early summer. The tiny pink flowers remind
me of baby's breath. This picture was taken right in front of my
home.

Choosing The Right Camera
When it comes to taking nature and flower pictures, you are given many options.
I use the Canon PowerShot A510 digital camera to take the pictures on this
site. This camera is considered the low end of digital cameras. But
since it was my first experience with digital I wanted to start small and work
my way up.
My next adventure in camera shopping will surely be with Canon. For me
the Canon camera seems to be the easiest to learn and maintain. If you are
thinking about making the jump to a new digital camera, let me recommend a
Canon.
I have been doing some research on the prices of digital cameras and the best places to buy them. After a lot of deliberation and thought I decided to go with the place that many people trust. I have partnered with amazon.com to bring you Nature and Flower Pictures Digital Store
