Digital Art Created From Nature Photos

Digital art is easier and more fun than ever. Enjoy these art prints used by enhancing nature photos and photo editing software. See how you can create your own.

This type of art can be purely computer-generated, or taken from another source, such as a scanned photograph, or an image drawn using vector graphics software using a mouse or graphics tablet. The term is usually reserved for art that has been non-trivially modifed by the computer; digitized text data and raw audio and video recordings are not usually considered digital art in themselves, but can be part of a larger project.

Textured Prints

This set of pictures are done in the textured effects of microsoft photo editor.

I created the digital art you see on this page by using nature photos I took in the parks in Illinois. I used several nature photos enhanced with the effects tools of Mocrosoft Photo Editor. You can create the same effects with almost any photo editing software that comes with digital images.

The availability and popularity of photograph manipulation software has spawned a vast and creative library of highly modified images, many bearing little or no hint of the original image. Using electronic versions of brushes, filters and enlargers, these "Neographers" produce images unattainable through conventional photographic tools. In addition, digital artists may manipulate scanned drawings, paintings, collages or lithographs, as well as using any of the above-mentioned techniques in combination. Artists also use many other sources of information and programs to create their work.

Have you got art work that you would like to display in a gallery? Perhaps you are looking for an even larger selection of art to choose from. I highly recommend Yessy Photo Gallery.

The digital art on these pages have been inspired by my love of nature. We spend a lot of time walking in the local parks and taking nature photos. I have also found that a lot of the images make excellent black and white prints. I used the Chalk and Charcoal effect to create these prints. Check out more black and white prints, here.

Digital Photography and digital printing is now an acceptable medium of creation and presentation by major museums and galleries, and the work of digital artists is gaining ground, through net art and software art. But the work of digital painters and printmakers is still not widely accepted by the established art community. It is not represented or collected by any major institution.

Water Color Images

This set of digital art pictures uses the Water Color effects tool of Microsoft Photo Editor. Some of the pictures look like real water color paintings. Though digital art is created on the computer for the effects, I did phtograph all of these images myself.

Many artists also enjoy using canvas as an art medium. Now you can create a canvas look to your digital photos with your micrsoft photo editor. Take a look at some of these canvas digital prints, here.

Another effect I like using is the Embossed image. Embossed digital images have almost a 3D look to them. Do you happen to have an engraved jewelry box on hand. I have a replica of an old trunk with embossed plates all around it. That is what these images remind me of. To see our Embossed Prints Embossed Prints here.
