Canna Lilies Changing Color

by Sarah Moore
(BC Canada)

I have had Red Canna Lilies with green leaves for many years. Digging them up in the fall and replanting in the spring.

This year two of my plants grew with red leaves instead of green. One of the red leaved plants has just bloomed and the flower is now orange instead of red.

Is this a common thing to happen to older Canna lily bulbs?
