Butterflies Landing Outside

I was outside in my back yard when this black and orange butterfly lands on my kid's toy. It kept fluttering around so I stuck my hand out flat and it landed right on the palm of my hand.

This is not the first time I have done that. It happens a lot in my area.

Once one landed on my son's head and I told him to put his hand out and it should land on there. It did. It was awesome.

I've never gotten any pictures because I never had my camera near by.

I have heard a presence of a butterfly like that is a presence of those who have passed away.
