A butterfly landing :)

I was sitting outside the hospital on the phone with my mom when a beautiful butterfly landed on my knee. I thought nothing of it but marveled at the chance that it chose my knee versus anything else to take a rest on.

Throughout the day, I wondered what it meant to have a butterfly land on you. I'm not a spiritual person, however, this past year has been one of the most trying and toughest time of my life.

I was on clinical rotations and constantly moving around, and to top it off, the love of my life broke off our relationship and moved six hours away. And my grandfather suddenly passed away, amidst all the chaos in my life.

I've spent the past couple of months constantly toying with my breaking points. I needed one good thing to happen, just one thing to go right in life.

I looked up the meaning of having a butterfly land on you, and it could symbolize either:

1. My grandfather paying me a visit and reassuring me everything will be OK
2. Fortune is coming my way (according to Chinese tradition)
3. A rebirth of some sort is about to happen.

Either way, I know my life will be changing for the better from now on :)
